One of the things I should have measured was how far Emma’s LH hoof print fell out of line with her LF. \u00a0I can only subjectively comment that, on the longe to the left, it is looking more in line–some steps are even straight! \u00a0(Woohoo!) \u00a0 To the right, it is still off track to the outside.<\/p>\n

Cavessan: still at the leather repair guy’ shop. \u00a0Turns out he was moving from one store to another and has been a little busy. \u00a0Hope he doesn’t lose it in the transition… \u00a0Saddle: \u00a0I decided not to send it away for reflocking (cost more than the saddle did), but rather to wait for saddle fitter that comes through every few months and try to get in with her.<\/p>\n

So far I like it. \u00a0Of course, there is no telling for quite a while how it affects hoof growth. \u00a0While it is ooey & gooey going on, the next day the residue is gone and ready for a fresh coat. \u00a0It also doesn’t seem to be affecting the color on the white legs. \u00a0A tip for application: use the supplied brush for application at the back of the heel (pick the foot up for this), but I think it’s kind of wasteful and sloppy on the rest of the coronary band. \u00a0I’ve been wearing an exam glove and just using my fingers to paint it on, but I’ll pick up some finger cots next time I get to the drug store and they should work just as well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
